To
be a Christian has been the most valuable decision I could ever make in
my life. I grew up in a non-Christian family and was never told who Jesus
was. But through guidance from a missionary to China, I went to church
for the first time when I was 16 years old. Unfortunately, I couldn't accept
Jesus Christ as my own Savior although I went to church every Sunday. I
spent my high school years not knowing who Jesus was. I just went to church
and enjoyed spending time with others there. After I entered the university,
I realized that, from the bottom of my heart, I wanted to meet God.
I
started to pray to the Unknown God with a definite prayer title, such as "If
you, the Unknown God, are a Real Being and created me just as you said in
the Bible, let me accept it without doubt..." My prayer lasted five
years until I got the explicit answer from God through His Word. I felt absolute
peace from God. The Word abides in me and has wiped out all doubts. My life
was completely changed. At last, I became a New One, a Child of God. From
that day until now I have confessed the truth that God is my Creator and
Jesus Christ is my own Redeemer and Savior without hesitation.
Before
I accepted Jesus Christ as my own Lord, my aim in life was to be a professor
at the Korea University. My major was Mathematical Statistics. But my goals
have completely changed. I experienced the power of the Word and how it changed
a sinner like me. I decided to dedicate my life for Jesus Christ.
Since
my graduation from Seoul Theological University, I have been doing my best
to share God's Word with others wherever I go.
